Canadian Researchers Reveal Chronic Pain May Be In Our Genes

A story ran on Global News Hour on Sunday, March 25, 2012 entitled. Pain gene: Canadian researchers reveal chronic pain may have to do with our genes. Lynn Cooper, President of Canadian Pain Coalition was interviewed.

Researchers at Sick Kids have found that the way a pain receptor called P2X7 works may  influence how much pain we feel.

McGill University researchers have found a way to erase pain memories with a drug (in mice). They hope to be able to do the same in humans.
